Ready for the next step

I have posted on this same forum before and I believe the answers might be very similar to what I read before. I guess I am a bit desperate and believe that the light at the end of the tunnel seems to get closer.

My times and quals are
ATPL
4500 TT
900 A320 PIC
2200 A320 SIC
1100 ATR SIC
Bachelors from ERAU
4 Years of Honorary Service USMC

I will get the 1000 PIC turbine this month, and I hope that will open different opportunities for me. So far I have applied pretty much everywhere (exept for regionals) but have not heard a beep from any of my applications.

I really believe I can skip the regionals but might be what I need, since all of my time has been flown with airlines in Mexico.

In my opinion, you would be a really good fit for Delta Air Lines with that military service.

And if you don't mind me asking...how did you get hired in Mexico? I'm assuming Aeromar then Interjet? I'm guessing you have dual citizenship and FAA and Mexican licenses? Just curious PM me if you like.

I do not see any reason at all why you would even think about considering a regional.
I really don't want to take the regionals as they seem as a step back, but my phone is not ringing from any other airline either you know?

that is the correct assumption Rob, I did spend 2 years on furlough from a regional in the US between both airlines...

Patience is a virtue my friend...

Are you only considering US majors? I would think a nice career could be made with Mexican operators (AeroMexico). You have access to a whole different market of jobs that most of the US regional guys cannot even apply too.
I would move to MMTY or MMMX in a heartbeat but thats just me. While sitting in hotels in border towns for days on end I have considered finding me a señorita to marry to get on with a Mexican carrier myself. ;)

I appreciate the advise, and will hold until the right opportunity comes along.

I have thought about amx, but i'd have to get in line behind all the fo's at connect to get into the major. If my airline was a little friendlier about communting I'd definately make a career here in mexico, unfortunately the way my life is right now, my QoL would be much better if I work in the uS. (Even at a regional based in the west coast)
