Reading instrument charts

What is the best way to learn to read instrument charts for taking the written test? I am trying to get the written out of the way before I start.

And the introduction section of the Jepps is your friend!

hey doug check this site out I found. I know this is mainly used for flight simulator purposes, but I was wondering if U could take a look at it and see if the info on the approaches is pretty close to accurate for your instrument approach knowledge.

The ones on that site are the ones you want to study. Those are the NAS (sp) plates. They take the questions in the written off of those and not the Jepps (even though Jepps are so much better) Buy some plates and look through the intro section up front with the legends.
