RAH recalls no longer a rumor

RAH has confirmed with the union that they are going to recall 96 of the 104 remaining pre-Midwest/Frontier furloughs over the next 6 months. I don't know if actual certified letters have been sent yet, but some people have been emailed about a December 28th class. Don't have any info on Midwest or Frontier folks but the CEO did mention that Frontier would recall, also.

So these are RAH guys and not the Midwest pilots? Hmm... The 8 extra would really cost them that much more?

ps.. Congrats to those whom are going back! Best of luck with training....

It's great for the REP guys coming back (and congrats to any of them that post on here... I really mean it) but it's going to play hell for the SLI.

good news indeed. perhaps they are counting on 8 people not accepting recall? lol....

It is odd nonetheless.

They probably will get at least that many whom will bypass... Just find it odd if this is the final number, which if this is not a rumor I'd assume it will be verified tomorrow with a official source, that there would be a need for ALL but 8 of the pilots back.... Just seems very odd and almost a slap in the face of those bottom 8....

That's how members of the RAA roll.

There are at least 5 pilots from my class alone that won't be accepting the recall, so I can guarantee 8 wont be an issue, it will bring back everyone. The thought is that maybe RAH management doesn't want to appear understaffed by recalling everyone... And also, before it comes up(I know it will), we cannot recall pilots that are not on our seniority list. I would sure like to see them all get jobs back ASAP but it will have to be after SLI.

I just really wonder... 100 pilots is a hell of a lot.... And one would have to assume they have all dequaled in the plane and thus its going to basically the initial all over again in the training. So then they will be ready in 2-3 months.... So March-April? Is there a mad expansion planned for Midwest/F9 or does RAH know something about UAL/DAL/USairways that we do not?

Im pretty sure that the higher ups at all the airlines know a lot more than we do. That said, congrats to the furloughs...

Your Local 747 RAH EXCO is pleased to announce that VP of Labor Relations ### ###### has confirmed that the company will be recalling 96 of our 104 furloughed pilots over the next 6 months. The exact details are still forthcoming from the company, but the first round of recalls are targeted for the end of December.

We will be sure and pass along any further information as soon as it becomes available.

As far as the Midwest pilots go, looking at the following two tables would be quite disheartening...

I know everyone is different and has their own choices to make, but I wouldn't be jumping to come back.
