Qustion for everyone

OK so I know I have some hearing loss in both ears. I have been to an audiologist and had my hearing testing and it is good enough to pass the FAA medical using both the pure tone test as well as the word discrimination test. The only thing I am not sure of is whether I'll pass the conversational voice test at 6 feet with my back to the examiner. I have a copy of my audiology report showing my results that I can show the AME if necessary.

My question to everyone is should I show him the audiology report right away to show him my hearing meets the requirements or should I go ahead with the conversational voice test and if I cannot pass that then show him my audiology report?

What do you guys think? Does it matter?

Thanks in advance!

Don't give him any extra information that he does not need. Try to pass the test without the test results, and if he says something about it, show him the test results.

Never give them something unless they ask for it.

Thanks for the response John! That's what I was planning on doing. Hopefully I'll be able to pass the normal test...if not I've got the backup I need.

You will any test that has to do with the FAA involvement never, never volunteer information. You dont wont to have to dig yourself out of a hole
