With one helicopter and a single hospital contract in Colorado, he pledged his commitment to safety and outstanding patient care. Annually, we conduct around 100,000 transports amassing over 150,00 flight hours.<br /><br /> <br /><br />What you get to do:<br /><br />As a Communication Specialist, you will serve as a Communications Coordinator between our customers- including flight crews, pre-hospital health care providers and other similar qualified callers. Each day, you will be responsible for:<br /><br /><ul><li>Coordinating flight information through our computer systems</li><li>Follow/monitor each flight from lift off to touch down based on FAA and company regulations</li><li>Managing initial communications of public, private and flight-related calls</li><li>Leading communications between pre-hospital health care providers and the destination hospital</li><li>Work as a team to ensure communication runs smoothly throughout the team, flight crews and outside agencies</li><li>Other Duties as assigned.</li></ul> <br /><br />Traits that would make you successful:<br /><br /><ul><li>Your ability to multitask and pay attention to details in excellent</li><li>You enjoy working in a team environment and building strong working relationships</li><li>You enjoy a high level of responsibility and maintain a calm composure when making quick decisions</li><li>You have strong communication skills- written and verbal</li><li>You can present a professional image on the phone and over radio.</li><li>You are able to be ON SITE for each shift- this is not a remote position</li></ul> <br /><br />What you will bring to the team:<br /><br /><ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>1-2 years dispatch experience or knowledge of medical terminology used by EMT/CNAs is helpful</li><li>Strong computer skills- specifically with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new software quickly</li><li>Helpful Certifications/Licenses/Registrations (not required):<ul><li>NAACS</li><li>EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-P</li><li>CAN</li><li>LMT</li><li>Pilot License</li></ul></li></ul> <br /><br />Compensation/Benefits:<br /><br /><ul><li>Shifts offered: 12 hour shifts- day or night<ul><li>5am-5pm</li><li>5pm-5am</li></ul></li><li>Full time positions are eligible for our full benefits package including PTO, sick time, Medical/Vision/Dental coverage and more! </li><li>In-house PAID training and a set career progression program for advancement!<ul><li>Training starting at $18/hour depending on experience </li></ul></li><li>Hourly wage after training between $20-22/hour<ul><li>Depending on experience</li><li>Wage differentials taken into consideration for additional certifications (EMT, Paramedic, RN, etc), extra $1/hour for overnight </li></ul></li></ul> <br /><br /> <br /><br />Air Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
