Question about DC H10-13X

My David Clark the ANR was acting up a little on my flight today. I noticed that the red light went on the little box were the battery is kept when the ANR is on and is usally flashing green. I have the Energizer Industrial Strength type battery in it that came with the headset and I have used that battery for about 23.7 hours. Is it time to change the battery already? How long should it last?

Thanks for your help!

Hey man, I have the same headset and same problem. It is indeed time to change the battery. I very frequently forget to turn off that damn little swtich, or it gets knocked back on inside my headset bag. Buy stock in Duracell.

Nice avatar by the way

red light means time to change the battery...time it lasts depends on how noisy the cockpit is, mine last about 25-30hrs.

doesn't your 13X have auto an shut-off to prevent leaving it on, mine does...and its impossible to turn it on when it isn't plugged in anyway.

Oh, I forgot... there is a very small switch in the battery compartment you have to flip to get the auto-shut off to work.

They are shipped from the factory with the switch in the always on with power position for some reason...you need to change it for auto shut-off.

The auto-shutoff is only available with the 9V version, not the older AAx6. I'd recommend investing in a set of rechargeables, personally. I bought a set of rechargeables when I bought my GPS receiver and they've paid for themselves many times over (that GPS eats batteries like a fat dude at a buffet! "You! Big Boy! You go now! You been here four hour! You eat too much!" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
