Learning to fly in 1953. Pretty cool video. I wonder how many of those planes are still flying today! I was working on one today. A 43 cub.

Great find! I got a kick out of them talking about the development of the ol' Aero-Car :laff:

I'm sure there were a lot of kids that saw that on TV and said "Gee-wilikers Timmy, have a look at that, an aeroplane car! I bet in the future everyone will have one of them, gee whiz, that'll be really swell, Dad! Can we get an Aero-Car too?!"

Saw a Super Cub at the end - my dads is a '54 - sometimes I forget just how old it is, still has the original wings and tail feathers.
 
The more things change... I have a primary student now that is learning in a C-170 that looks very similiar to the one in the video.

Its a shame that most of those aircraft companies mentioned at the end have gone out of business.
