Purdy Neat as a chair?

Hey all,

Are the standard metal frame Purdy Neats like the Stealth strong enough to sit on without damaging or deforming it? Looking for a new carry on to double as a terminal chair.

Thanks

I used to sit on my Samsonite all the time. Used it as a stepstool, backrest, and table many times too.

Yeah I have seen some that are very sturdy with solid frames that could take it...I was more worried about the metal wire and band frame of the PN cases. Seems like they might bend....

The thing is indestructible. I've used it as a chair, an ottoman, a table, etc.

Think of the Purdy Neat as a fabric Sherman Tank...... The only bitching about it comes from the fellow crew members who lug it into the closet for you during a pairing. These bags will still be around when we are all gone.

I was thinking of the same question... I've been sitting on mine whenever I'm waiting for the shuttle... I only weigh 150, but that thing seems SUPER solid and indestructible!

Oh noes!!! I read it weights 17lbs?!?

True? I know there is a sacrifice for durability but some of the wieght limits these days will make this useless....grrrrr.

It does weigh quite a bit empty. However, in my airplane, it weighs 30 pounds no matter how much I put in it. ;)
