Hey, I was wondering how soon I would be able to transfer into the aviation program once I go to the school. I applied, and only got into the regular school, but obviously want to be in the aviation program. Purdue was my #1 choice, but now im considering OSU cause I can get into their program right away. Well all comments and replies appreciated. THANKS

I realize this is probably a little late, but here we go anyhow.

I believe you can try to transfer into to the flight program sometime before your Sophomore year and then again before your Junior year (provided you have your private/instrument). I believe you have to submit an essay and have a certain GPA to transfer; they only have a limited amount of slots.

Usually, the head of the department (Larry Gross) holds a 'callout' for everyone who is interested in transferring where all of this is explained.
