Hey man, give those whiny bitches a copy of MikeDs rules to live by, specifically the first three, which there's a reason they're above number 4:
1. There are no guarantees.
2. Life isn't fair.
3. Timing is everything
4. Seniority has its privileges
Remember that, live by it, and you'll never be surprised.
If only people stopped worrying what everyone else was getting, and concentrated on their own gig.
I know it, but I can completely see where they are coming from. The thing I would just like them all to remember is
"I ain't in it!!"
I didn't cause it, I didn't wish it, and I can't fix it.
Focus your anger in a direction where it will do some good, and if that direction is not to be found then just keep it to yourself.
What the hell man......you going to take this crap?
I expect you to open a can of whoopass........let that rotary wing aviator inside you come out and show these SJS bitches what's what...
I'm a new man in this boat, I'm not looking to rock it just yet.
My advice to you is to wear your epaulets upside down to let those ERJ kids know you fly a real airplane. I keed, I keed.
Seriously though, I don't understand why the EMB people would be mad. Can't they just bid over to the CRJ if it's so great? Sorry if someone already asked that.
Nope
At Eagle FOs can't bid jet to jet. So EMB can't bid to the CRJ and CRJ can't bid the EMB.
Yep
Two things
1- None of the FOs worked here when the contract was ratified.
2- Per the contract both LGA CRJ and EMB MIA should have been open to all pilots to bid.
And there in lies the proverbial rub. (For all that are unaware of the situation)
The contract states, rather ambiguously, that an F/O may bid for "New" equipment. [Regardless of the jet to jet prohibition]
Pilot group interpretation - There were no CRJs in LGA, there were no EMBs in MIA, therefore it is "New" equipment and we should be allowed to bid for it.
Company interpretation - CRJs existed in the fleet long before their arrival in LGA, EMBs existed in the fleet long before their arrival in MIA, therefore it is existing equipment and you may not bid for it.
And round and round it goes.
It is currently in arbitration and there is no telling when it will see the light of day again. Even if/when it does, by the very nature of arbitration neither side is going to get exactly what they want, so there really isn't any light at the end of the tunnel.
In the meantime, no EMB - CRJ bids, and that is the main reason for the hostility.
