Which airline do you think is the best as of today, Piedmont or PSA?

How many of these threads in a day? You will get further if you ask specific questions about places you're interested in. Plenty of general information here if you do a little digging. Lots of knowledgable people here when you need advice about a specific shop.

I said PSA, but only because I work there. In all honesty, Piedmont is the more attractive option right now. My only misgivings with Piedmont (and still the reason why I personally wouldn't choose them over PSA or another airline) is that their bases are a difficult commute. If you plan on moving to base then disregard. PHL might not be too bad if you live in the northeast, but it is still a 2-leg commute from many places.

If I were looking at regionals right now, I would be looking at Endeavor, CommutAir (although I've heard of many not being accepted by United for that portion of the interview), Piedmont, and then PSA.

PSA has it's problems, and it may take you a little bit to hold CLT (if that is the base you want), but my qol here is second to none. You can hold a line right away in CVG, in a few months once you complete training in DAY or TYS, and it will probably take you about 12-14 months to hold round 1 in CLT. This month I'm crediting about 100 hours and flying about 85 block. 14 nights at home and 12 hard days off. All of my trips are commutable on both ends. I can't complain. Next month I'm crediting 80 hours with 17 days off. The SAP that PSA pilots have at their disposal is pretty awesome for QOL. You will get paid 24/7 per diem during your training so that comes out to a couple extra thousand as well. We have become a little stagnant at the moment because our pay has fallen below what I would consider to be the new standard for the regional industry. There are several reasons I personally do not expect AAG (our parent company) to pony up more money right away, but I would expect to see some meaningful changes this year. I think our flow will increase this summer when we renegotiate the terms with the company and I think we may see some sort of retention bonus paid out ala Endeavor. But all of that is just speculation at this point.

If I had to choose again, I would likely still come to PSA. It's hard to beat an easy one leg commute and good qol. That's how I would choose a regional if I were you. Pick the one that fits your needs the best.

chrisreedrules, Thank you so much for your input regarding PSA. All of that info has helped out tremendously and that is the hardest part, is determining which one to goto given we all have options now a days. But I plan to move into base, so that really isn't an issue far as commuting goes. But I've been told to avoid commutting all possible. Thank you!
