Well....I went from student pilot to MEII in 5 months!! I just want to thank all of the instructors who helped me along the way. For those of you thinking of going to ATP jump on the train because they deliver what they advertise on time and on cost.

1) a lot, sometimes every day, sometimes only 3 times or so, depends on weather and where you are in the program.

2) no types, but you end up rated for airplane single and multiengine land + instrument airplane at the commercial level as well as an instructor

3) 250 (i came into the program with 100)

4) 34,995 + 300 * 6 + 400 (checkrides) ie, the quoted price. (its 37,995 now)

5) yes

Ok Thank You so much for taking the time to answer my questions......I was wondering will their program be good enough for the airlines, OR are the airlines looking for someone who came form UND, ERAU, in comparison to someone who has completed ATP...

It doesn't matter where you go to get your licenses... You could get them all from Podunk FBO or something. All that matters is How many hours you have, and connections. So save your money Chris and get your stuff from a local airport.

alright yeah been thinking about that......instead of movin' up to Grand Forks or Daytona.... lot cheaper too, and besides I already got the Connections in here /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif. by the way Matt how far along are you?

Dude, Chris, we've all told you the same thing over and over. How many times do you have to hear "it dosen't matter where you get your ratings" to understand that it dosen't matter where you get your ratings?

Congratulations James,
I wasn't able to see your graduation ceremony (you know....the erasing of your name on the beloved board), but you know I am proud of you. Have you started at Skyline or better yet been hired on by ATP? Keep me up to date. Late.

smokey,
i heard you are heading down to JAX pretty soon. is that true? if so congrats to you. man, your wife is going to kill you. ha. I'm stuck in pensacola with Grayling waiting for a plane to take back to DFW. we are knocking out the xc's left and right. pretty soon we will be elite commercial pilots. to everyone else ATP does give exactly what they advertise. it's a great program. and Tram if you read this did you ever take up that King Air gig?
eric

Eric- How is young Grayling Threats? You takin good care of my buddy? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I am flying down to Dothan tomorrow to do some finalizing on the King Air setup. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well.. looks like the Dothan gig may be too good to be true.. Not 100% sure yet, but turns out it's more like a "pay for training" thing.. So.. we'll see..
