Pressurized windows

I've noticed on windows that large transport aircraft use, they have a little hole that looks half way drilled through... what is that?

All the responsibility none of the authority
it allows air from the pressure vessel (heated) to flow to the outer pane and defrost it, so you can clearly see the crazing on the outer pane.

It's so bugs can crawl in between the windows only to die. But before they die, they crawl all over the window trying to get out, tricking the pilot into thinking there is traffic.
