I just recently moved and so I went to the doctor's office to get established with a family care physician in town. I mentioned to him that I recently had a pretty bad cold and that I was still having a little trouble clearing one ear. It wasn't bad enough for me to stop flying, it was just annoying. He gave me a prescription nasal spray called Triamcinolone Acetonide. He said that it is primarily for keeping the sinuses clear, but it would also travel to the ears. I called my AME to find out if it was okay to use, but he is going to be out of the office for the next couple weeks.
My question is, is this okay to use? And what should I do about getting in touch with my AME about it? This is the first time I have been prescribed something since I started flying, and am not sure exactly what to do.
Thanks,
