PPL at ATP

Ok, would like some advice. I'm a student pilot, have 27 hrs TT, and flying a 172N from an uncontrolled airport. I am about 95% sure I'll be attending ATP for the ACPP at the ATL location. I'm having a problem finishing my PPL because 1-my CFI has a full time flying job, 2-weather problems, and 3-because I have a full time job as well as wife and child. My question to you guys on the forum is this: Should I finish my PPL at my local FBO (and hopefully have them finished my April/May) or should I quit my job and go finish my private at the JAX location and go ahead and get into the ACPP? Thanks to all in advance.

If you're there in Virgina, why go to Atlanta? You have Norfolk and if you want to go south, Raliegh-Durham is right there. Is there something special about Atlanta? Good luck in whatever you chose.

Oh and if it's WX, I'm sure I've got you beat...

Working on my private since the beginnning of September...I schedule 5 days a week...

5.5 months X 20 days a month

Thats 110 days scheduled (roughly)....

I've flown 20 days....TT 17.8 hrs

That's why I'm going to Ari Ben...and our cheif pilot doesn't understand why...

Seriously you can't go wrong. Good weather, busy airspace, decent scenery for your XC flying, towered field, laid back atmosphere, best facility layout, and friendly controllers.
 
I like the Atlanta area, for one. Secondly, ATL is closer to where I live than ATP's Norfolk facility. And lastly, I'm a Yellow Jackets fan. Did I hear something about free beer?????

Seriously, though, I think the PPL program is the same price zero time or with 27hrs. Given that you've already invested 27hrs into it, I'd be inclined to recommend you finish the PPL there and then do like me and sign up for the ACPP and pay ATP for the hours to time-build to 85. This way, you get the cheaper rate for most of your hours to private, but still get a little remedial training in the 172 at ATP before starting the ACPP in case you need anything to get you up to par before you start.

But that's just an opinion. You really win either way, just might be cheaper doin' it locally.
