Powered Parachute/Paraglider

Man, sometimes the people that fly those have never even piloted anything, they are just trying things. Ive got some stories about that.

But if you get good instruction I am sure it is fun, however, they are very very depnendant on the wind. They apparently cannot go into wind very well.

My girlfriends dad has a powered parachute, was able to work out a deal with a manufacturer to help them market their product and they gave him one for free. I've been trying to get up in it.

not the same, but similar i rode in a trike...one of them hangglider/trike deals...

SUPER fun.

hard as hell to fly though. all controls are REVERSED. push to climb? swing the bar right to go left?

really confusing for a normal/fixed wing guy to break habits!!

Looks like a fun, possibly cheap way to get airborne. I've always wanted to get into gyrocopters too.

Me too! One of these days I will be getting a Powered parachute endorsement. (One with two seats that require a certificate and number.)
Problem is, that I have never had a convenient opportunity to take up sport flying.
