The closest I have to kids are my two cats.
They're pretty much akin to having drunken midgets bounding around the house finding interesting fragile things to knock over and sleep on.
And vouyeristic too. Say you're taking the morning 'pit stop' reading the newspaper, next thing you know there's a furry audience.
One is either pimping you for a can of cat food while the other is rummaging around boxes for stuff to dig out and pull under the bed.

My son (4) loves football. Last year for Christmas we bought him a play Buffalo Bills helmet and uniform. For a long time he wore it everywhere we went.
My younger daughter (10) started playing hockey this year. She loves it and had a blast. Next she will be playing softball, when that's done she'll start soccer.
My oldest daughter (13) ran cross country this year. I'll never forget the feeling I got watching her compete and finish the first race she ran. Not that she won or even came that close, but the determination in her eyes...it still chokes me up. She too will be playing soccer this summer.
Now that the weather is getting nicer, we will be running every which way with the kids between swimming, softball, soccer, horseback riding and everything else that pops up. I complain about it a lot, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

BTW, I know that ERAU now has sports at Daytona. But for those of us at Prescott, well, soccer, rugby, wrestling, and badminton just didn't cut it for spectator sports...

#1 reason I changed schools from Riddle to OK State my Senior year in H.S. Go OSU. 3:2 guy to girl ratio. Pretty much that way at most colleges in Oklahoma.
