Re: My Kids Crack Me Up! Do Your\'s?

I just found out that my wife is pregnant. Looking foreward to teaching the kid how to fly and play soccer. I better hurry up and get those ratings done. Gig 'em.

The Aggie War Hymn:

Hullabaloo, Caneck! Caneck!
Hullabaloo, Caneck! Caneck!

First Verse

All hail to dear old Texas A&M,
Rally around Maroon and White,
Good luck to the dear old Texas Aggies,
They are the boys who show the fight.
That good old Aggie spirit thrills us.
And makes us yell and yell and yell; --
So let's fight for dear old Texas A&M,
We're goin' to beat you all to --
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Rough! Tough!
Real stuff! Texas A&M!

Second Verse

Good-bye to Texas University.
So long to the Orange and White.
Good luck to the dear old Texas Aggies,
They are the boys who show
the real old fight.
The eyes of Texas are upon you.
That is the song they sing so well,
So, good-bye to Texas University,
We're goin' to beat you all to --
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Rough! Tough!
Real stuff! Texas A&M!

Integral! Radical! Mu, DV!
Slipstick! Slide rule! MIT!

Hey CMARTIN,
Send your boy on down to A&M this fall to play football. The Ags may fare better against the Horns with a team of 8 year olds than what they've got now!

Hook 'em

(UT class of '90....couldn't resist)

Oh...I thought MY 2 year old daughter was the drama queen!

The closest I have to kids are my two cats.

They're pretty much akin to having drunken midgets bounding around the house finding interesting fragile things to knock over and sleep on.

And vouyeristic too. Say you're taking the morning 'pit stop' reading the newspaper, next thing you know there's a furry audience.

One is either pimping you for a can of cat food while the other is rummaging around boxes for stuff to dig out and pull under the bed.

Re: My Kids Crack Me Up! Do Your\'s?

My son (4) loves football. Last year for Christmas we bought him a play Buffalo Bills helmet and uniform. For a long time he wore it everywhere we went.

My younger daughter (10) started playing hockey this year. She loves it and had a blast. Next she will be playing softball, when that's done she'll start soccer.

My oldest daughter (13) ran cross country this year. I'll never forget the feeling I got watching her compete and finish the first race she ran. Not that she won or even came that close, but the determination in her eyes...it still chokes me up. She too will be playing soccer this summer.

Now that the weather is getting nicer, we will be running every which way with the kids between swimming, softball, soccer, horseback riding and everything else that pops up. I complain about it a lot, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Sorry for my ramblin as well.

Go EMBRY-RIDDLE GOLDEN EAGLES!

[Crickets chirp. Silence.]

BTW, I know that ERAU now has sports at Daytona. But for those of us at Prescott, well, soccer, rugby, wrestling, and badminton just didn't cut it for spectator sports...
(Hopefully things have changed in the subsequent ten years...)

Women's sports at ERAU?

Backgammon?

When Copaman and I went to ERAU, there was like a 12:1 guy:girl ratio. So it was kind of like going to the Naval Academy with better food, warmer weather and cooler haircuts.

#1 reason I changed schools from Riddle to OK State my Senior year in H.S. Go OSU. 3:2 guy to girl ratio. Pretty much that way at most colleges in Oklahoma.

P.S. - All you SEC punks are getting it next year. GO HOGS!!!

Here's one that'll make ya go "HUH?"

My Alma Mater:

Carson-Newman College - GOOOOOOO EAGLES!!!

Formerly NAIA Perennial Football power house (National Champs 84, 86, 88, 89 and so on until....), Now Division II perennial Football power house.

Four years ago (I think) they lost in a Divsion II National Championship game that went into QUADRUPLE overtime!! The (ESPN2) sportscasters briefly referred to it as "The Best Game EVER played!" Thought that was cool.

Anyway... next?
