IATA flight school went bankrupt a few months back and they are auctioning off all their stuff. Planes, hangers, flight simulators, office equipment, fuel trucks... you name it. You can check it out at www.auctionaz.com

If anyone is interested, the auction is at Ryan Airfield in Tucson, AZ. February 25th at 10am. Here is a link to some of the pictures they have up already: http://www.auctionaz.com/021109.htm There are over 60 planes total. 152's, 172's, Warriors, Arrows, Barons, Katanas and King Airs.

Sweet!

I should tell my dad about that, he might find something useful for his engine shop!

Beware of some of those auction items. For example, the cessna 172r, registration n989av, was in an accident when it was in michigan. Buyer beware.

If I had some cash, I'd buy the bus, dump it to tha FLO and some 22' blades on it.

(I'm kidding. I'm not even sure if the vernacular is correct... N826AW? a little help here...)

I've got at least 20 hours in 9av post-accident, probably more. I don't recall it flying sideways or anything.

Must have been a while ago... that plane has been here in AZ for atleast a year and a half. If not more...

I guess when no one is there to take down the website, it stays up for a while. I'd love to talk my boss into getting a multi for our school

Dang no 182 RG's. Not quite ready for the ownership fees of a twin.
They do have a few arrows, but im positive they have no RG Cessnas.

I believe they have 3-4 Barons and a Seneca.

Rumor is that there may be someone coming to bid on the whole thing as a package deal flight school, who knows.

wait...this company name looks familiar.

I am almost positive this is the company that kept sending me stuff saying that their CFIs were paid $40,000 salary.

pigs fly.

Back when a CFI couldn't be found.

Let me fix it for ya:

"If I move a few more white squares, I'd buy dat ho, take it to the sto and buy ha some new shoes. I'd sit hot, jacked up on some twenty-ates with the lo pros on the flo and a choppa in the back. Make it look real clean son. And no tint, I wanna row thu da hood and have them muthas know iss me.

When I pull out the garage, you can call it a night."

And that, ladies and gentleman, is why I *heart* The Do.

Still wondering what the broads rapped about this afternoon...

I've flown those aircraft the C172R's 989AV, 986AV, and 984AV they have pictured there. They used to be part of the fleet at WMU. It was at least three years ago before they got the cirrus. Wish I knew where 984WU is at, that was my first solo private. I'd buy it up quick. Everyone called it four wooo, can't imagine why :)
