They talk about when continental flying starts for Pinnacle, I would assume they mean the Colgan flying... but Colgan has already started flying for CO. Is there going to be some CO flying on the 9E side or do they just have bad info and not know that Colgan already flys for CO???

"In January, Pinnacle paid $20 million for Colgan Air, which had contracts with Continental, United (UAUA), and US Airways (LCC). It also signed a pact with Delta. Once service for Continental (CAL) and Delta (DAL) begins, some 80% of Pinnacle's business will be cost-plus, says Peter Hunt, Pinnacle's chief financial officer. The target margin range for Continental and Delta is 7% to 9%."

The impression I get, is that they are no longer referring to Colgan as a seperate entity. The CAL flying we do, is now PCL flying. Only a matter of time before our names are below yours and Chuck Colgan Jr. himself is looking for a new job.

I think they mean Pinnacle HOLDINGS. I'm with Airdale on this one, but all the Colgans will be leaving well compensated with a nice golden parachute.

All of the Colgans have short term contracts with Pinnacle Holdings. The only one with a long-term "consulting" agreement is Chuck, if I remember correctly. The Colgans will soon be gone and replaced with Lorenzo-era monsters like Buddy Casey.

I guess we just sit back and watch....

Not much else we can do. The Colgan's didn't sell the company because they want to run an airline. They sold it to get OUT.

Unfortunately, their smear campaign against ALPA was all about how it's 'still Colgan airlines,' things are only going to get bad if we vote yes for representation. Unfortunately, enough people drank the kool-aid and now we have another year before we can do anything about it.

Great! :sarcasm:

Someone explain the Buddy Casey ordeal. He came into our groundschool...seemed alright.

I'm totally oblivious to it all.

Buddy always seems alright....until you get to know him. Buddy was hired at Pinnacle for one simple reason: union busting. He started his career in the accounting department at Eastern Airlines. Eventually he moved into management positions in accounting and scheduling, and by the end of EAL he was pretty cozy with Lorenzo. After the demise of EAL, Buddy went to work for EAL SCAB Tom Cooper as the COO of Gulfstream Airlines. His main mission there was to keep a union out, and once the IBT managed to get on the property, he negotiated the first contract for the company. He then moved on to Pinnacle and took a place on the company's negotiating committee for the contract negotiations that have been going on for over 3 years now. He's a constant road-block and views pilots as less than human. He learned union-busting from the "great" Lorenzo himself, so he's not someone you want to trust. My guess is that he'll eventually be placed as President of Colgan.

Oh boy...

Just like he promised that outstation basing wasn't going away.

I would expect the outstation basing to disappear within a year or so. They're wasting millions each year on repo flights. A penny-pincher like Buddy Casey will want to move everyone into hub domiciles. Of course, he'll lie to your face about it until he's ready to actually do it.

A mx guy at Colgan told a Capt. I was flying with that Colgan spends 5.6 million a year for fuel for MX repo's alone.

Kind of sad to because that HEF MX/Ops center will be gone too.... most of that wasted money is ferrying aircraft to HEF that has 0 airline service. All that money spent to expand that hanger too... Sorry boys mom and pop are gone... welcome to the little big boys :banghead:

Haha...any other Colgan guys get their pay stubs and notice the return address?

" Colgan Air/Pinnacle Corp. " or something of that sort.

:D
