Niamey, Niamey Niger, International:<BR /><div class="readOnlyFrame" id="textContent"> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>This position is contingent upon contract award.</strong></p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p> <blockquote style="margin-right: 0px;" dir="ltr"> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of each international flight assignment.</p></blockquote> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Prepare and review to include but not limited to; flight plans, considering such factors as altitude, terrain, weather, range, weight, cruise control data, airport facilities, navigational aids, and more as assigned by PIC. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Ensure proper flight kit is aboard and more. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Ensure required airworthiness inspections are complete and previous discrepancies have been corrected or properly deferred in accordance with the MEL for that aircraft (as applicable). </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Assist PIC to complete the aircraft preflight inspection and perform preflight preparation. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Assures proper loading, distributing, and security of cargo and passengers.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Ensures provisions for passenger comfort and any special emergency equipment such as life vests are aboard (when required). </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Operate aircraft at favorable altitudes taking into account turbulence, oxygen requirements and comfort of the passengers during the flight. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Ensures the preparation of the Aircraft Flight Log, Load Manifest and Discrepancy Record form, reporting of mechanical irregularities, discrepancies and proper recording of maintenance by maintenance personnel, when maintenance is performed away from the principle operations base. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Ensure ramp security is maintained while passengers are being boarded or disembarked for passenger safety. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Ensure that copies of any reports submitted to the FAA under the authority of FAR 135.19 are also submitted to the Director of Operations in a timely manner. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Ensure that a crewmember or passenger prior to takeoff to assist any person who may need the assistance of another person during possible emergency evacuation of the aircraft. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Must be highly knowledgeable of the Company General Operations Manual, General Maintenance Manual, FAA Regulations, NTSB Procedures, HMR 175, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manuals, and all other material pertinent to duties. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">The Second in Command shall perform those duties stipulated throughout the General Operations Manual and specific responsibilities designated to the Second in Command by the company and the Pilot in Command. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">In the event of an accident or incident whereby the Pilot in Command becomes incapacitated or deceased, the Second in Command shall assume the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot in Command and conduct the remainder of the flight to a safe landing. Must be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot in Command. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Assists in the safe and efficient operation of the flight. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Must be proficient in duties such as:</div> <ul> <li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">System monitoring </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Fuel management </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Weight and balance </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Aircraft performance </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Record keeping </div></li></ul> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Will advise the Pilot in Command of any abnormality during ground or flight operations. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">The Second in Command may delegate duties to other personnel or passengers only when acting under instructions from the Pilot in Command or in the event the Pilot in Command becomes incapacitated. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Position requires a U.S. Security Clearance. </div></li></ul> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>EDUCATION</strong> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>REQUIRED:</strong> </p> <ul> <li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">High School diploma or GED. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman’s Certificates </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">ATP is required for fixed wing pilots. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Carries a current medical certificate in accordance with 14 CFR 61.23. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Will&nbsp;complete the required and applicable curriculums required by the company’s FAA Approved Part 135 Training Program. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Must be highly knowledgeable of the company General Operations Manual, General Maintenance Manual, FAA Regulations, NTSB Procedures, HMR 175, Operations Specifications. Aircraft Flight Manuals, and all other material pertinent to duties.</div></li></ul> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE </strong></p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong></strong>&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>REQUIRED</strong>:</p> <ul> <li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">1,500 total fixed wing aircraft time. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Meets the qualification requirements of 14 CFR 135.245. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Is current and qualified per CFR 135.293, 135.297, and 135.299. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Meets recency of experience requirements of 14 CFR 135.247. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Must report or have no accidents, incidents, or FAA sanctions within last five years. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Must be current and qualified as a pilot in the last 12 months.</div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Must have current Secret Clearance.</div></li></ul> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>PREFERRED:</strong> </p> <ul> <li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">&nbsp;2,500 total aircraft flight hours. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">&nbsp;Have at least one year of experience as a FAR part 135 pilot of an aircraft. </div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">&nbsp;Experience in DHC-8, Casa 212</div> </li><li> <div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">&nbsp;Have International Flight Ops experience.</div></li></ul></div>
