Textron Aviation Wichita, Kansas:<BR /><p> <u><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></u><br />Candidate will serve as the Safety Coordinator for ProOwnership flight department. This position involves managing the department Safety Management System (SMS) as well as ensuring its overall effectiveness while serving as a Pilot.</p><div><br /><u><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></u><br />I. Monitors and advises personnel on all safety activities that may have an impact on flight and ground safety <br />II. Develops and maintains an awareness of identified Safety Performance Goals<br />III. Manages the department Hazard/Incident Identification, Tracking and Resolution System and the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP)<br />IV. Monitors industry flight safety concerns that may have an impact on operations<br />V. Identifies national and local environment laws and requirements that affect the Flight Department and distributes pertinent information to appropriate personnel<br />VI. Schedules and leads quarterly and annual Safety Meetings<br />VII. Conduct internal audits on a periodic basis to ensure conformity to the Flight Operations Manual and industry standards<br />VIII. Monitors, reviews and updates Safety Risk Profiles<br />IX. Monitors the response and measures the results of safety initiatives<br />X. Provides the Chief Pilot, ProOwnership with safety related expertise, guidance and awareness.<br />XI. Assumes any duties delegated by the Manager, Flight Operations Safety, Security &amp; Standardization<br />Qualifications</div><p><br /><u><strong>EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:</strong></u> </p><ul><li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree required </li><li>2,500 flight hours including 500 hours turbine multi-engine required</li><li>10+ year of relative experience required </li></ul><p>QUALIFICATONS: </p><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Has the appropriate aviation experience and performs all the duties, functions and responsibilities of a Pilot for ProOwnership</li><li>Demonstrate experience or has had training in the following:<br />o Safety Management Systems <br />o Risk Management<br />o Safety of flight philosophy<br />o Human factors and the decision-making process<br />o Accident prevention<br />o Emergency response planning</li><li>Self starter with the ability to work with a team</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Outstanding situational awareness</li><li>Excellent organizational skills</li><li>Computer Proficiency (MS Office, etc.)<br /><br /> </li></ul><div>&nbsp;</div>
