Pilot needs advice

Hey, I know this is going to sound quite rediculous, but here goes. I am a pilot with commercial, multi, instrument certificate. I presently have approximately 900 hrs TT.

I am now leaving the Bahamas enroute to Georgia in search of a job. However, I don't know the first place to look. I would like to start with a charter company until I build more time and experience, but was also considering a bachelor's degree.

I need some advice from you experienced guys please!

If you are planning on going with the airlines in your career, get your degree. Most all airlines now are requiring a degree, so that can only help you in the long run. Furthermore, if for some reason the aviation industry takes a downturn for any reason and you find yourself in a non-flying situation, then you have something to fall back on.

Not sure about your XC/night/IFR time, but with 900 TT, you are not that far from 135 mins. Get your degree, fly part time, get another 2-300 hours and fly single pilot IFR hauling boxes. But, then again, do whatever will make you happiest with your flying. BUT...get the degree.
