Responsible for the safe conduct of assigned flights. The pilot in command has final authority in the operation of the aircraft. The captain must ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and foreign regulations, as well as company policy and procedures specified in the company operations manual.

Acts as pilot in command or second in command of flights for which the pilot has been assigned.

Supervises the second in command pilot in any duties necessary for the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the aircraft and passenger comfort.

Makes decisions necessary to start, delay or cancel the flight as well as decisions to deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate.

Complies with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft operation.

Ensures that preflight inspections are performed and aircraft is ready for flight. Studies weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points. Reviews and calculates the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts.

Assists in Aviation Department administrative duties.

Performs flight planning and fuel load calculations.

Participates in post flight operations and maintenance debrief.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
3500 Total Time, 2000 PIC, 1200 Turbine, 250 Actual Instrument Time, 500 Night.
Airline Transport Rating (ATP), FAA 1st Class Medical.

I actually know a guy that flew for them for a short while.
 
So.. you said that meaning that they treat their pilots like Cra--p or its just that they keep growing and growing and needing more pilots??

Well, they're growing, but they don't seem to have a growing flight department . . .
