The career opportunity offers great earnings potential, benefits, as well as a secure and stable place to work.<br /><br />Position Overview <br />Serves as pilot-in-command, ensuring that corporate aircraft operations are conducted safely and efficiently. Responsible for the safety, security and comfort of the passengers and crew. Reports to the Chief Aviation Officer.<br /><br />Essential Duties and Responsibilities<br /><br />-Acts as pilot in command (PIC) of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled<br />-Commands and pilots aircraft with complete responsibility for its airworthy condition, safe operation, security and well-being of the passengers and crew.<br />-Provides excellent customer service to passengers.<br />-Complies with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft operation.<br />-Ensures that preflight inspections are performed<br />-Studies weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure<br />points.<br />-Prepares flight plans, considering such factors as altitude, terrain, weather, range,<br />weight, airport facilities, fuel costs and navigational aids.<br />-Ensures that all crew-members are fully qualified, properly rested, prepared for flight, have all required certificates in their possession, and are briefed on all<br />specific requirements of the trip.<br />-Ensures that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board<br />for the safety and comfort of the passengers.<br />-Attends annual schooling and other training as designated by the Chief Aviation Officer <br />-Reviews and calculates the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance<br />charts.<br />-Supervises any Second-in-Command (when used) in any duties necessary for the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.<br />-Makes decisions necessary to start, delay, cancel flights and deviate the flight from<br />planned route or destination when conditions dictate<br />-Maintains currency and efficiency on assigned aircraft. Maintains an understanding of the normal procedures, emergency operating procedures and all operating systems of the aircraft.<br />-Provides for the servicing, maintenance, and protection of the aircraft at all times<br />-Maintains familiarity with and follows all FARs and company policies pertinent to<br />assigned duties.<br />-Completes required post flight paperwork and maintenance actions at the conclusion of the flight.<br />-Reports known or suspected FAA or company policy violations or incidents promptly to the aircraft owner.<br />-Schedules flight crew to ensure compliance with company and FAA regulations regarding currency, flight and duty times,<br />-Coordinates trip logistics for flight crew and passengers to include catering, hotel ground transportation and special requests<br />-Arranges catering services in accordance with company and passenger requirements<br />-Maintains aircraft stock and presentation on aircraft<br />-Coordinates aircraft handling with fixed based operations<br />-Masters and maintains computer software related to flight dispatching and logistic support.<br />-Ensures that aircraft schedules meet with any airport/airspace restrictions<br />-Maintains inventory of charts and related material<br />-Maintains and updates aircraft and crew schedules<br /><br />-Establishes and maintains relationships with outside vendors to include logistical support, <br /> i.e., fixed based operators, handlers, ground transportation, caterers, detailers etc.<br />-Negotiates discounts with fuel providers and contract fuel companies to demonstrate measurable cost savings.<br />-Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This<br />includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits<br />specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or<br />suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.<br />-Performs other related duties as required. <br /><br />Job Qualifications minimum education, knowledge, skills and abilities <br /><br />Must be a US Citizen<br />Must possess a current US passport<br />Must possess a valid driver&#8217;s license with a clean driving record<br />Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a drug test<br />Possess an FAA Class II Medical (or be eligible)<br />Must possess an Airline Transport License <br />Preferred Experience Level Citation<br />500 Series Type Rating<br />5000 Total Time<br />2500 Multiengine Time<br />1000 Jet Engine Time<br />250 Hours in Cessna Citation 500/501 or 560<br /><br />People Responsibility (both direct and indirect reports) <br /> <br />1 direct report (Second In Command)<br /><br />Physical Working Conditions<br /><br />&#183; Domestic and international travel as required.<br />&#183; Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit.<br />&#183; Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under machinery.<br />&#183; Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc. or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of aircraft <br />&#183; Work in a regular office environment; communicate via personal computer, telephone and fax.<br /><br /><br />All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
