Piedmont pilots

There will be a town hall meeting in SBY TOMORROW at 9am. Flanery and Farrow will be present. Be there if you can.

Yes, we know there is nothing posted on the website.

Funny how just a couple of weeks ago our management had no plans on closing any bases. Yeah, I'm sure they had no clue until today, just like us.

They were in LGA today. I took my "good news" packet and went on with my day. No interest in hearing what they had to say.

I heard the townhall meeting was pretty much a review of what they had posted in the executive letters on the website, and not much more.

Losing LGA, along with the flying, and pretty much not gaining any flying out in DCA. So basically losing like 1/3 of our flying, with no place to put the other aircraft to work. Beginning of the end for Piedmont? Only hope is Airways not renewing the contract with MESA in 2010.. but then again probably another regional would take and do that flying other then PDT anyways.

Mesa contract is 2012 FYI.

Until then they have exclusive Express feed for PHX + the 38 900s in CLT.

After that? CRJ1000s and Q400X (the 100 passenger stretch) for the WOs!

(and a PHX base just for Jace)

aaa i c... well then so much for the hope. :laff:

Why would you hope for Mesa to go away? You think they'll replace the -900 routes with D8's? Right.

Where the hell did anybody say they Hope for MESA to go away? The world doesnt revolve around MESA and them dissapearing, regardless of what you may think. Don't be so sensitive.

The only hope for additional flying for PDT is if we were to get Mesa's Dash flying out of PHX if they were to lose it.. like has been rumored - but even then I don't see how we would do it without new airplanes. Nobody even mentioned Mesa going away.

Oh, I thought when you said:

You meant that the only hope is for Airways to not renew Mesa's contract (and thus, Mesa 'goes away').

:whatever:

What I meant was their Dash flying.

I didn't say whether I hope or not, I said the only hope is...

Anyways, back to the sinking ship Piedmont.

Well, fellow P*Monsters, please go visit company web site about reduction bids. :(

For those who are affected, good luck.
