Hi,

Anyone see the e-mail or the job posting for Piedmont's new minimums? I read the e-mail at work today and it said something like...

Piedmont's new minimums are 550 TT (50 ME) or close to 550

I guess they are going to hire between 25-28 F/O's each month! The regular minimums were 1000 to include 100 multiengine time, or 900 TT & 150 ME, or 800 TT & 200 ME. This is for UND graduates only!

OMG, that's great! Just checked it out at the site.

Excellent, hope this continues. Crossing my fingers so it can remain this way for a couple of more years.

i wouldn't hold my breath to see if piedmont is still around to hire you, angel. the only reason they're hiring is because all their senior guys quit because the company is going to go under soon. that's the word on the street, anyway.

Gotcha, Grant.
I was referring to the opening positions in general, not specifically to Piedmont. It's been improving lately.

a lot of the better regionals are hiring it up. i'm ALMOST tempted to stay here and instruct until i could get scooped up by horizon.........almost.

I'd give you my opinion, Grant, but my mouth is shut until I experience life in good'ol G-Forks, lol.

the opportunities are awesome, no denying that, especially for someone like me who'd eventually like to get hired by horizon. i know they love to come and take people right from here. it happened to a few of my favorite instructors. however, the idea of being 24 or 25 and "doomed" for the next 35 years doesn't really intrigue me. i'm going to go out and have some fun with aviation, be broke, be overworked, be taken advantage of and do some fun jobs before i settle down and get scooped up by the regionals. to each his own, i can't deny that the opportunities being a UND instructor brings are quite attractive.

How many UND grads or Flight Instructors get to work for RJ's??? Even in this kind of market???? CAN I WORK HAS AFLIGHT INSTRUCTOR EVEN IF I DID NOT GO THROUGH Their aviation program?
