A couple weeks ago I visted some friends in Montana. Two of them own powered chutes and offered to give me a taste of "real flying" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

No, I am not standing on the side of the river fishing! You can see part of the frame in the bottom right.

As we were flying up the river you could see all the fish dive away- probably thinking that's one damn big eagle!

I have some more material but I don't want to incriminate anyone. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

That's awesome! Looks like a lot of fun! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It looks easy to build one of those. Get a parachute, the engine part and propeller from an airboat, and a board with 3 wheels and glue it all together with superbond.

Looks like a parachute strapped onto a lawnmower might work, too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I never thought that a powered parachute would be very much fun, but that looks like a blast. Montana is one of the most beatiful states in the U.S. and that seems like a really cool way to explore parts of it. Thanks for sharing.
