As promised, here they are, i took more but can only post 5. and one isnt showing up?
winds were 330 14g17, runway 34 in use. around 40 degrees burrrr. did 3 take-offs and full stops with my cfi, booted her out of the plane and saw her shivering next to a hangar as she watched me solo! i was her first solo sign off! edit- the picture on final is zoomed, hence it looks like im really high

the rest speaks for itself!

edit: dangit, how do i make them show up instead of being attached little buttons?

as for the number of pics, I believe it is opnly 5 at a time. if there are more, just create another post.

if you are posting them on a different website, you can link to the images. If not, you have to live with the thumbnails.

Congrats on the solo....

14g17 and taking pictures of yourself during your first time flying solo? Your CFI has more faith in you than I would have for any student.

I like to take pictures more than anyone but doing it on your first solo in the pattern is something you should be careful with. Lots of things happening there at one time while being low and slow.

disregard my avatar there

How long has it been since your first lesson until now? Cool pictures man, I wish the FAA would hurry with my medical :( Good luck in your future training!

it took most of the staff of skymates 10 minutes to do this...

its not like i was sitting there tinkering with the camera. i left it on and in the right seat, and when my right hand was not required for flight duties, i reached over and snapped a picture. I did not aim, i did not spend any time adjusting for pictures. pick up click put down. i made sure i was very familiar with the camera, for example i 'practiced' zooming and operating it without looking, and with my right hand only. yes, i rehearsed all this. I made sure it was safe before i took any pictures. I had an opportunity to take a pic of an aa757 overhead at 2500 but it was bout time to pull the carb heat, throttle, lower flaps, so i didnt, my right hand was needed.flight duties take precedence over pictoral evidence for my friends. Just so yall know, this was a pilot taking pictures, not a photographer flying a plane.

clarification!
-enjoy the pics

first flight was 2/9, i've been flying roughly 3 hours a week, +- a few depending on my workload at my REAL JOB, school. weather has not been very cooperative lately either :(. kgky needs another runway!
I had medical issues too! had to wait a week and a half from when i needed it. it makes the solo just that much sweeter man.

Cool, im going to hopefully do mine during the summer.. Depending on the FAA (how long should that take???) But Im going to completely concentrate on flight training. Do you think getting my private and instrument in the same summer is unrealistic? Thanks

heck yeah, thats the tower that going to be in operation 10/05

11/05

2/06

3/20/06

who knows

and right off the wing strut in the downwind pic is bells test facility where they are testing out the civilian tiltrotor! that thing is cool

Congrats, may wanna leave that camera behind till next time...First solo and Solo CCs arent really a time for picture taking

It's OK...

"this was a pilot taking pictures, not a photographer flying a plane."

I did the same thing on my 2nd solo cross country... I figured it wasn't a big deal in cruise between my destinations.

NICE photos!!! I thought ya was a punk...hehe

love the shirt too.. they did a heck of a job on it! :)

Ah your a big boy.. I say bring the camera.. Just know when to and when not to use it..

However, if your taking pictures on a cell phone camera, while doing a roll - you have to remember there is a laaag in the picture taking ability, so you may want to lead the picture.. :)

teehee! thanks tram, i agree! :)
i was using my dads canon powershort sd 400 that mysteriously disapeared from his bathroom sink some days ago..... hmm, i'm doing my best to find the scumbag who would relieve a man of his beloved camera from his own sanctuary sink! :)

kristie: im no punk!!

Watch out for that guy in the brown Cessna in the pattern there at GKY... That dude is a flying smoking hole in the ground waiting to happen.

I think his N# is something with a Five Six Uniform or somethin' er 'nother.

Oh man, is that guy still wallowing around the pattern there in GKY??? I think he almost killed me onced' or twice.. :)

hwo bout he jackkass imn a red cub that takes take soff on 16, climbs at near stall speed and joins downfiled traffic at midefiled at like 1100 msl (500 agl) and climbs up to pattenre atlittudue

he cut in front of me and meli, a king air 200, and some other shizz.
the king air was FUC*(*ETUY*EYT*ING pissed.. circled all the way back around to joe pool lake and said "king airr adlkfujasdoifyt is back to joe pool lake i hope the cub is on the ground, we got nothin on him"

and the jackass in the cub said "tee hee hee, the cub has gotcha in a few areas"

then my cfi meli clarifed what an assabcdefghole was.

what a tampon
