I cannot wait until next summer when I finally get to move back to PHX.

Do either of you know what the "Sharp Delta" means? I know the helos use it and have for years, but I've always been perplexed by the name of it.

Never heard of the Sharp Delta.....I can ask around though

If you find anything out, I'd love to know. Every time I've flown into / out of PHX, the helos would use ask for, and get cleared with, the "Sharp Delta" transition. None of us ever knew what it was, and never bothered to do the obvious and ask ATC about it.

SHARP....I think it's Special Helicopter ARrival Procedure.

Sharp Delta is a LOA between the local helicopter outfits (AirEvac, Police, news helicopters, etc.). It's basically just a fancy SVFR helicopter transition route.
