Phlem issues...

Doc, for like the last year or so, I been having alot of phlem in my chest.

I routinely cough some of it out once to maybe twice a day, everyday, sometimes more.

However, it is not the real thick, chewey green infected kind, it's yellow, and only moderately thick.

Here is the caviot, though I seem to have alot of phlem in my chest, I don't feel ill.

Furthermore, I haven't been sick in over two years.

So, what's the deal, and how can I get rid of all this mucus, or are the levels okay?

You live in Arizona, it is probably just phlegm due to the poor air quality here. Just look at the skyline realize you are breathing in that browm cloud that hangs over the valley.

The lungs produce mucus (phlegm) to capture foreign materials that enter the lungs. You them cough up the mucus to get rid of the toxins you inhaled. It is really a good self-defense mechanism for the body.

Okay, cool, just wondering, because always having to clear my throat and cough, snort all that nastiness up.
