Pending Furlough

I am facing a potential furlough

in the up coming months. Does anyone know that name of the program, or if it still exists, that would allow me to get a free type rating after being furlough?

Any ideas on which type to get? B-737, A-320, etc

Workforce Investment Program or something like that? Might be the Workforce Improvement Act?

That might be a state-specific thing. A buddy of our who is furloughed TWA/AA got a Citation type through the program. I'll email him and see if I can get some specifics.


btw I'm sorry to hear of your furlough. It sucks, make the best of it that you can.

I know a place where you can get the citation type rating for $5000, so getting $3K paid for would be a great deal
