OK i'm sure this question has been asked here before. Just got my private and i'm planning on taking some people flying. The thing is I only have one headset for myself. What is the cheapsest way to get another headset for the passengers. And when I say cheap im talkin like less than 80 bucks. If anyone else has any other ideas that would work, that would be greatly appreciated!

I was under the impression that almost all flight schools/FBO's have spare headsets for you to take out while you rent the plane.

The cheapest headsets are about $100 (like the Red Baron's). I'm sure you could find one on ebay for less than $80.

Or borrow headsets from pilot friends when you need them. I know plenty of people that don't fly very often - I borrow theirs when needed.

Just picked up some beauties for 64$ of ebay. Sigtronics S20 with 2 years of manufacturer warranty remaining. Tested them out and they work great. My passenger did't even know how uncomfortable they are in comparison to a nice pair of dc's

They let me borrow some for my dad today for free at the FBO I go to.

Use the rental ones if you can. When it comes time to upgrade your personal headset (if you have a bad one now), you can always turn it into a passenger headset. Or borrow from a friend.
