Passenger bites Alaska Airlines crew member at Sea-Tac

SEATTLE, Wash. -- A 39-year-old man is in custody after he tried to rush the exit door of an Alaska Airlines jet as it was taxiing to a gate at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Airport spokesman Perry Cooper says passengers and the crew had to subdue the man Monday, who was apparently anxious to get off the plane. One crew member was bitten in the arm during the scuffle and was taken to Highline Medical Center in Burien, Wash., for treatment of minor injuries.

The man was taken to Highline for a mental health evaluation, before being transferred to King County Jail. He was expected to be booked on investigation of felony assault.

Flight 108 from Anchorage, Alaska, landed in Seattle at about 4:30 a.m. Monday. Cooper says no other airport operations were affected.

Crazy people are out in numbers these days. A passenger in Anchorage was arrested when he tried to take a swing at cops the other day.

I know there is always more to the story, but here it goes anyway....

This guy gets felony assault and the brothers who beat the aa pilot up get a misdemeanor? :dunno:

There is more to the story for sure. I will say that anyone that beats up an American employee should deserve less time than someone that beats an employee of an airline I actually don't despise. But that is just me.

As for the "more to the story" -

Well...it was a non-union pilot that had asked for Velocipede's jumpseat. When Velo told him he was a proto-scab and not entitled to a union negotiated benefit, the guy lost it and decided to go all cannibal and such. And, now you have the rest of the story...
