PanAm 103 bomber to live for years

Am soooo glad the candyass Scots released this guy. Would've been nice had their legal system had even an ounce of compassion for the victims of this tragedy that they had for this POS of a human being.

So he's got 10 years or more to live, huh? I've heard somewhere that professional assassination is one of the highest forms of public service.........

A British cancer expert who said the man convicted in the 1988 plane bombing over Scotland had about three months to live before the prisoner's release last year now says the Libyan could survive another decade or more.

Dr. Karol Sikora told The Sunday Times that Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi – whom Scotland's government released on compassionate grounds in August after being diagnosed with prostate cancer - could live another 10 or even 20 years.

Scotland's justice secretary said last year that the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber was made after medical reports showed he had terminal cancer and perhaps three months to live........

Sickening. On a semi-related side bar, there is a part in that book "See No Evil" that talks about how a former Lebanon CIA station chief was aboard that flight. Wonder if they knew that...

It's shameful...what's even worse is that our president really didn't do much to speak out against this atrocity. We know he dosen't have much authority over what the scots do, but he still could've tried to speak out on behalf of us as Americans as last time I checked it was American property that was destroyed over Lockerbie.

It's too bad we're more than 10 years away from scaling-down airborne laser technology to UAV-sized installations ... maybe.

wish we had a dislike button and kinda give our opinions on the roll, without having to type so much. Dislike mucho!

It IS disgusting...I posted some stuff on this the other night in a different forum.

The guy killed 280 (including those on the ground) 180 of those were American. Most of the Americans killed were college students returning from vacation.

He served 8 years. Do the math.

He served roughly 10.5 DAYS for each person he killed. Pathetic.

Wow, that's pathetic. Plenty of convicted terrorists die in prison, why should he be any different?
Prostate CA is usually very treatable with low mortality-didn't they research this at all?
Hope they gave him a teddy bear on the way out.....

My childhood neighbors were late and missed that flight; the friends they were travelling with made it on time unfortunately.

Also, Mike..I'm not so sure the Scot population are the ones to blame here. From what I understand, they damn near had riots in response to this ruling by a Scot judge.

This is truly despicable. How does somebody that kills that many people get this kind of treatment. It really makes you wonder sometimes.

Yes, to clarify, when I was referring to Scots, I was referencing their justice system that let the guy go, not the people themselves. I agree.
