Packing up...

...and moving OUT of my office! No more working for this miserable guy. My last day is Friday. He pretty much forced me to resign (I wanted to stay on part time), because he said if I couldn't give him 30 days notice of every trip, then he had no use for me. His loss...that wasn't a tough decision after all he put me through. I got some decent time there though, and learned a lot. Now I know that if I could work for him, I can work for just about anybody. I also now have standards. I'm sorta going to miss instructing, but I have a few people that I'll be doing some freelance work with, so I'll still get to do a little.

The new job is looking like its going to be a big success, with several trips on the agenda for November already- Boston, Atlanta, Florida, and possibly Chicago. Maybe I'll get to meet some fellow JC'ers in my travels!

Drop me a line if you get down to Tampa.

Oh - and grats!!! I'm hoping my boss will let me go part time when I get my instructor ratings (he's an instructor-rated pilot himself). But, if not - I'll be right behind you in the "take this job and shove it" line.

That's a pretty clean break!

When I left my cfi job, a week previous the FBI had arrived to seize training records, made us sit in the conference room for about four hours and wouldn't let us touch a telephone! Then I get a call from the FAA a year later asking me specifics about a bunch of students that I had forgotten about and maintenance on one of our training aircraft.

Good job!

Leave an escort service? Nahhhhh.

I was a starving CFI who worked for a miserable individual for 8 long months, then I got lucky and got a gig flying a Bonanza (just by word of mouth...see? Networking WORKS!
).
