I filed an instrument flight plan that took me directly over P-49, the President's ranch, at an altitude that cleared the airspace and I received the clearance as filed...but when I got close, they diverted me around it...
I aknowledged the new clearance and asked if the change was due to traffic - they told me that it was to avoid P-49 and was not traffic related.
VFR pilots seem to fly directly over the ranch all the time - as long as they are above the airspace...is there a reason that IFR traffic would not be allowed to overfly it?
