Overseas jobs...

Okay, now that I am finally under contract, I'll start posting yobs I find. There is a wealth of information out there, but to start the listings of where to go for jobs (and I'll add a lot more later, but I'm kind of in a time crunch right now), here are a few web sites:

http://www.acass.ca
http://www.tagaviation.aero
http://www.avianation.com
http://www.jsfirm.com

These are just to get you started looking around. Hopefully typhoonpilot will help out, since he is definitely a wealth of information on everything overseas, in case you didn't realize this.

One more plug for a web site...if you are even considering getting into the contract pilot realm, you MUST visit this site. A great wealth of information is here:
http://pilots4rent.com

The lady that runs the site's name is Susan A, and is very well known throughout the contracting industry. Allen and I both had the fortune of meeting her when I visited him in Wilmington...she was the contract pilot for their new Challenger while everybody was getting typed.

I'll add to this more when I have some free time. Anybody else feel free to add to this and provide input into the various contracting agencies...

Good luck out there, and we'll see you on the other side!!!:D

These are the better foreign contract agencies:

www.parcaviation.aero
www.directpersonnel.com
www.sigmaraviation.com
http://cclaviation.com
www.wasinc.aero

Airlines that hire direct include:

Cathay Pacific
Singapore Airlines
Dragonair
Viva Macau
Gulf Air
Etihad
Emirates
Air Arabia
Jazeera
Bahrain Air
China Airlines
Qatar Airways

There are many others. If one is really interested in getting a lot of info on airlines then the JP Airline Fleets guide could be useful. They also have a new one for Bizjets. http://www.buchairshop.co.uk/

Another great way of getting your foot in the door is networking. I never met Joe (Stone Cold) before Wilmington but we got to know each other here on JC and kept in touch while we both flew the Lear 60 in the states. When I knew of an opening for a Lear 60 captain position it what natural that I push Joe's name to the top of the list because he did a great job of networking and keeping in touch. It cost him $0 in membership fees, $0 for application processing, and pennies in phone calls cus he probably used Skype. Good lucks guys and gals.
