Ok this is lame but everybody post what their favorite overnights are here stateside and why. Like places to eat, stuff to do, everything!

It really depends.

What crew am I with? What time of year is it? Do I know anyone in the city?

I enjoy out west because of the skiing and views. I love Florida in the winter for obvious reasons.

I have family in certain places, and friends in others.

Some of the most fun overnights have been in St Aug, Aspen, Fort Myers and Chicago.

Long MSY layovers were among my favorites

Head down to the D-Day museum, talk to the vets for a few hours, run out for an early dinner, enjoy some Abita and people watch in the evening.

So far, I've come to really liking going to Phoenix. Glendale (GEU) to be exact. We'll stay at the Hampton Inn down the road right next to the Arizona Cardinals stadium. They built an entire new entertainment type district with a Margaritaville, Yard House, and a few other fine drinking establishments. It may be a little pricey, but hit it during happy hour, and it's pretty cheap for the area!

TPA - Mons Venus!

(A flying slipper from the other side of the couch in 3.....2.......1.....)

EYW Eats -

Blue Heaven (Breakfast)
Bagatelle
Martins

Watering Holes -

Sloppy Joes
Irish Kevins
Hogs Breath Saloon

Go at your own risk-

Garden of Eden....mwahahahahahha

My best overnight would have to be Vail, Co. Expensive, but awesome.

I'll also give another vote for EYW; Duval Street is great for a couple nights.

Napa Valley was cool if you're into that kind of thing... :bandit: Phenomenal food as well.

I also had a great time in Omaha, Ne a while back. The food was good, the beer was cheap, and during the day they have a world class public Zoo to visit. Really, it was impressive.

A couple places I have yet to visit on overnights: Boston, Vegas, and Seattle to name a few.

And it goes without saying that there's no place like home .

x2 for Sloppy Joes and Irish Kevins!

However, what I remember about Garden of Eden was that I couldn't determine if it was just a bar, or a strip club as well. We didn't go in.

BNA!

Drunkenly wandering from bar to bar searching for the best Johnny Cash cover band. Hell of a good time, and I didn't even like my crew! :)

only overnight stateside at home.....so Dover? lol

I used to fly a guy around that owned a company who made the Front Door/nose of the C5. There were a couple of times that the mechanics there couldn't figure out how to mount it I got to fly into Dover AFB. I was flying a MU-2 J model. It is truly amazing having to hold while they make room for you in the pattern because there are 14 C-5's in it. Even sweeter when you get on the ground and watch them. I could sit by the runway and watch that all day!

KTPA = Tampa.

I had a handful of places I liked to go when I had the opportunity. Detroit and Grand Rapids were great because they were home for me (when I was living in Utah).

Kansas City was actually a decent overnight, as there was a Jimmy Johns a few blocks away from the hotel.

St.Louis downtown meant going to a baseball game.

Providence was fantastic, good food, fun town and it's the only place in the country where people can pronounce my last name properly.

Dood! Venture out of the west valley and Phoenix gets so much better!

You know MCO is your favorite overnight. Hanging out at Disney, dinner at Chili's then over to Epcot for drinks.

Mont Tremblant was another great one....Good village and awesome skiing, and yea I know, it's in Canada, but Canada is pretty much USA =)
