Gem Air, LLC Boise, Idaho:<BR />SUMMARY<br />Gem Air is based in Salmon, Idaho; our operations include Idaho backcountry flying, Idaho commuter flights, and cargo flights for UPS out of Boise and Salt Lake City.<br />We are looking for a pilot to join our flight crew based in Boise, ID. You&#8217;ll need to be IFR current, and we will give a strong preference to those with part 135 experience. <br /><br />We like working with UPS, and we want you to like it too. We take pride in what we do, and we want you to do the same. Also, while we understand that this type of work is frequently a stepping stone to other work, please apply to this job only if you feel very comfortable committing for at least one year.<br /><br />THE WORK ENVIRONMENT<br />You will fly a well-equipped Seneca II on this route and work out of the Jackson Jet FBO ramp in Boise, ID. The environments are cold in the winter and hot in the summer, and the work does require some time spent outside in those environments.<br /><br />The schedule is 4.5 days/week, Monday through Friday. Monday is a short 3-4 hour work day. Tuesdays through Fridays are 8:00am-5:00pm days. The route is BOI to BNO and back to BOI each day. It includes a 5 hour layover at BNO each day, except for Mondays.&#160;<br /><br />THE EXPECTATIONS<br />You will take pride in your work, and the company. You, as the pilot, will be the final authority of whether your flight is safe and legal to fly or not. You&#8217;ll take into account all federal regulations, weather information, maintenance information and other relevant information into account when making that decision. You will work with the rest of the Gem Air team to make sure things get done well and efficiently, and help us solve problems that may come up.You will help UPS in any way you can, and help to maintain the great working relationship we currently enjoy. You will conduct yourself in a professional business manner at all times. Be honest, fair and ethical in all dealings with team members as well as courteous and respectful to all customers, governmental agencies and vendors.<br /><br />PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />Perform all duties of a Pilot in Command. Ensure aircraft are operated to the highest level of safety and that all crew members maintain professional standards at all times. Fully understand the policies and procedures contained in company manuals, submit suggestions for changes to improve policies and procedures. Maintain and constantly strive to improve our relationship with UPS. Help load packages when appropriate, and help unload at outstations. Consistently fill out necessary paperwork in an accurate and legible manner. Assist in monitoring hours and cycles on aircraft until next aircraft inspection is due or other maintenance work is to be completed. Communicate with supervisor and maintenance about upcoming events. Assist in tracking needed check rides and training, and communicate needs with supervisor and schedulers. Other duties as required<br /><br />BENEFITS<br />$200/mo toward medical with proof you pay for medical (approximately $2,400/year, not taxed)<br />$17.50 per diem for long days flown (not avail. for short days) (approx.. $2,600/year, not taxed)<br />2 weeks paid vacation, not to be taken in July or August, or last week of Nov through mid January, except for special circumstances. Do not roll over.<br />5 wellness days/yr (for sickness, dr. appt, mental health day, etc).
