Any recommendations? It's about time and I'm going to go ahead and do a first class to make sure I can pass before I keep doing ratings beyond my instrument.

Also does anyone know if they will let you sit and relax before they take your BP? I have one of those home test machines and If I'm nervous about it it will be high (like 150/85) but If I chill for a minute or two its usually good (125/75)...

I use Dr. Eugene Chambers. Great guy! Does a ton of Southwest and Delta pilots. He is relaxed, his nurse is relaxed and it makes you much more relaxed. He knows your career depends on it.

I used Dr Sun when I got mine down there. He is on Lake Underhill at 436. Its in a strip center behind I think Mrs. Winners chicken

I go see Dr. Kurlee (SP?) at the Spruce Creek Fly In. It's just south of DAB. Super laid back guy and you're in and out in 10 minutes. Actually, you can fly in if you wish, it's probably a 10-15 minute flight from SFB depending on what you're flying. He's there Thursdays and other days by special arrangement. Highly reccomended.

I don't think Dr Sun does 1st Class medicals anymore, though. ATA pretty much kept that guy in business.

I just got mine up here in Memphis, first class in and out in 15 minutes.

Kovats is the only way to go...he's great. I went to Chambers once and will never go back. I waited 1.5 hrs to be seend. When finally seen, the assistant told me to read the 20/15 line in the eye machine. I asked why we weren't reading the 20/20 line and she insisted that the bottom line was the 20/20 line. Fortunately. 3 years ago when this happened, I could read 20/15....now I probably couldn't pull it off.
Kovats is in the Orlando phone book and he only runs his Aeromdical practice Tu,We,Th from 0630-0830. Good luck.
