Oral antibiotic for acne

Would any oral antibiotics used for acne cause problems with the FAA? Any other acne meds I should worry about? Thanks!!!

there are a couple, I posted one on here a while back and it is not approved for night flying.

If I remember right Doxycycl was okay.

Is Doxycycline the only antibiotic that is fully approved? I read on leftseat.com that accutane isn't approved for night flight but it didnt say anything else entirely specific.

My dermatologist suggested minocycline, but I'd like to know for sure that it wont make the FAA deny my medical.

Here is a list of acne meds I found, please let me know which ones are 100% acceptable as long as I can tolerate it without side effects.

Thanks Doc!

If you do go with accutane be ready for some crazy stuff. You have to join a IPLEDGE program, which the FDA watches very closely over you. Before you get the medication you have to get blood work done every month and have the IPLEDGE card with you every time you go to the pharmacy. Dermatologist tell me that it is a powerful drug, but results it does wonders to your skin.

I had moderate acne problems until my mid 20's. Then one day I went fishing and got a really bad case of poison oak. I was prescribed the double strength generic for Bactrum and not only did it kill the allergic reaction to the poison oak, but it cleared everything up as well. This was after trying to no avail numerous different meds and treatments. The FAA has no problem with this drug for this use.
