Open FedEx position

I'd guess so. Their Hub is Memphis, TN. Definitely not Msisafbjsdagb, Canada.
I don’t know what that posting is about. Our dispatch is definitely all out of Memphis. We have both dispatchers and “service recovery” all under the umbrella of “GOC Specialist”. Both positions require dispatch licenses but service recovery isn’t actively dispatching aircraft. Unless they have service recovery people in Canada to specifically deal with the Canadian feeders, then I’m not sure what that posting is about. The GOC Specialist 1 for Memphis is supposed to open on the 20th.

The one online states Aircraft Dispatch license Preferred. So it must be the Service Recovery you speak of.
Well to work in GOC in Memphis you’re required to have a dispatch license whether you’re service recovery or flight. So I really have no idea what that Canada position is.

  • For those who apply and are interested in retirement benefits….401k info (dated but still good info).
  • Shop is non-union and getting more than a COL raise is subject to “annual” review (adjusted to the Memphis market level aka not getting direct Chicago/Dallas/Atlanta level of pay). That’s how it was explained to us at the time.
  • Overall, folks in GOC are great to work with.
  • I suspect this was posted because they had quite a few people bounce to the airlines (myself included).
  • Rumored to be jumping on board the FK boat here soon.
  • Worldwide Jumpseat ability on company metal. (DOM FAM was given 1 overnight. Intl FAM stay varied by region. (Last I knew.))
  • Longevity pay at 12 & 20 years.
  • Annual bonus determined by company performance.
  • OT shifts could be cashed out or used for other day off elsewhere.
That’s all I remember. I’ll let current employees chime in with any updated information for the interested applicants.
Good luck to all who apply.
