Online flight/route planner?

Looking for something (free ideally, I am a CFI

) to help plan a longer trip, without having to lay out 6 or 7 sec and wac charts. Ideally, suggested routes for terrain clearances and places to stay overnight or stop for fuel.

I am aware of airnav, and other informational type sites, but I've always just used charts for planning (or duat to make the IFR stuff a bit easier).

Going from Missouri to California, in a Cherokee 140, if anyone has any suggested stops. Would like to do it in 2 or 3 days of flying.

TIA for any suggestions.

Yup, I'm aware of that one too.

But like I said, I'm looking for an online flight planner.

If the AOPA version didn't require software to be installed, it would be close. I'd like to be able to plan from home, the airport, or any sort of internet connection. Save that planning. Access it, or maybe modify it at the next point.

I use
www.duat.com
I can put multiple planes such if your at a flight school with different planes and I can save routes flown alot. They also have everything else from weather, notams and I can file.

That appears an IFR only type thing, but I like it.

Guess I shoulda mentioned this is a VFR only plane. Which is kinda why I'm asking for ideas. If it was IFR, I'd plan with duat, like I mentioned I do above, as I'm very aware how to use that system. I'm just looking for something a little more visual than the duat planner if possible.
