Online degree

Didn't you actually enjoy being in a university environemnt at UND? Go to a physical university and pass on the internet college!

I truly did! :) Im currently finishing up general requirments towards a business major at a local college. According to my academic Advisor I should have an AA in Econ by fall this year, then I can transfer to a CSU/UC system with my classes. Im working on my CFI's curretly. I figure ill CFI on my free time, and if I get hired I may just do an online degree. If not back to a 4 year college. So I was curious if anyone out there would like to share an experience with persuing an online degree. I looked into riddles but they do not have one in Aviation managment, so if someone on the boards know if a university or institution offers a degree of that nature. I was happy with my results considering I took a sem off to do ATP. I can still graduate with a 4 year degree at age 22.

Going to college isnt about the degree, its about the experience. You would be missing out on a lot if you choose the online route. Go to college, if you can get intoa big name school like UCLA or USC that would be great. Get the true college experience. But even if you go to a smaller state school, make the best of it. Like anything you get what you put into it. I went to a CSU and had a great time. More fun than most of my high school friends that went to bigger schools. Go to college, an online degree is just the book work without any of the social benefits. Pick a campus, you wont regret it, I promise. But you might if you choose the wwwdotcom option.

The only two online degree programs I know of is UVSC and ERU. I'm currently doing the UVSC program and they don't offer a management degree. It's just Professional Pilot Aviation Science. I guess ERU may be you best bet if you want the management degree. After having done both real college and the online programs, I would try to stick with the real deal. There are no girls in any of my classes.:)

I have been hearing rumots that UVSC is going to offer an online Aviation
Management bachelors in the near future.

Of course it would be nice if they could pull thier heads out for those of us that are trying to do ratings here, but thats another story.

Physically go to a four year university, it is an experience you will experience only once and it really is worthed. I go to a CSU and I am having the best time of my life while geeting ready for an aviation career.
