I just threw up in my mouth a little.
Saw one with a purple nosecone the other night. Still have yet to see an AirTran flight come in here in full Southwest colors, but now we only get one or two a day at SFO.
Meh... Still looks better than the old " Herb Turds "Those that LUVCAK call it "Canyon Blue" (but yes, after 90 days it fades to purple and fits nicely into the whole clown car thing they have going)
727s always look goodMeh... Still looks better than the old " Herb Turds "

Ah, interesting. I had seen some planespotters post photos of plane with the "NXXXAT" tail number painted in full SWA colors a while back. That's because you can't see an AirTran flight in all SWA colors. Technically, even the winglet is a violation of SWAPA scope. They filed a grievance because SWA slapped a big sticker on an AirTran airplane with a SWA logo to commemorate the merger three years ago. The SWAPA contract says only SWA pilots can fly planes with the SWA logo or name on it. And they don't consider us SWA pilots until we've "transitioned" to the dark side.
There are some funny stories I've read about SWA...umm..."acquiring" some parts from Braniff to keep the small 727 fleet flying.727s always look good![]()

Those 200 are beautiful.

Here is a goofy one. My father was in one of the last Morris/SWA transition classes to change over, going to have to ask how the scope/certificate issues were figured out.
