Okay, so I\'m the newest of the new guys

Hey everyone-
I've been lurking around here for just shy of forever and I finally
gave in and registered. Wooooo hoooooo!
I'm a senior in HS right now and just started flying a few weeks ago and I've gotta say I'm addicted. I mean... studying has never been this much fun!

So yeah.. I just wanted to say hey and make a post..

Welcome.

I flew for the first time about a month ago. I was immediately hooked just like you. Since then I have been taking lessons every chance the weather and money permits!

Are you taking lessons at RUT?? How would you describe the learning experience there??

I remember that approach to 31!! My passenger thought I was gonna kill us both with that hill on downwind to base!

I thought it went. There are no dumb questions, just dumb people. Anyways welcome, I haven't been here long myself. Pretty good information on this site.

Yeah, it's David Byrne. Just a generally fun picture!

As far as 'lessons' go, I have yet to start "real" lessons, rather I've been flying with a friend of mine who's been teaching me some basics. Of course, I can't log the time, but once I do start lessons (which is going to be quite soon) it'll be that much less time I'll spend asking my instructor questions when I could be flying.

Actually, I threw the "no dumb question" thing in there to validate my own penchant to ask stupid questions on a regular basis. Self-serving, I know, but that's my style.

Just flew into RUT the first time a few weeks ago (as a captain on the mighty Beech) and I will tell you, it was a real eye opener. Fun though. Flew in there again a week later and had a real fun approach, coming over Killington and descending past Pico. Looking forward to my trip there again in a few weeks. Nice little airport. Just hope the weather is good.
