Ohio State Or Bowling Green

I'm not sure about ohio state. I went to Bowling Green and got my PPL there. I don't have anything but good things to say about the program. The airplanes were well maintained scheduling was awesome, they also have almost all new planes now. If you like a small town and big school but small school feel Bowling Green is the way to go. I didn't always like that so BG sucked sometimes. Sometimes it was hard to find stuff to do besides party in BG, but people are very friendly so there's always a party with free beer. I always had a lot of fun when I would visit OSU though.

Whatever choice you make the only advice I can offer you is stick with the flying. I got halfway through my private and quit to get a History degree. I was planning on going to law school. However, flying called me back. I finished my private in my senior year. Now I'm down in Florida getting my ratings and I wish I would have finished them at 22 instead of 25. Also, don't drink on weekdays. Having a 7 am flying slot will help with that decision (it did for me at least). Whatever choice you make enjoy it. College is a blast.

graduated from osu in '01. got ppl-com there. went elsewhere to get multi and cfi due to pace of program, mainly winter wx in ohio slows things down. great program when i was there, easy going and fun. started ppl ground school end of 2nd year, started flying beginning of 3rd year. majored in history and got a minor in aviaiton, didn't want to take another math class for the major requirement. airliners don't really care what your major is anyway, gives you something to talk about while in cruise other than early airflow seperation theory. good instructors and good, although aging fleet of planes. got through and still managed to drink beers on the weekdays.
