Not exactly modern, but we pinned the nose gear on the SAAB when we installed the lockout clamp for the NWS in LGA. LGA was the only place Colgan pushed back, so that was procedure (for us lowly FOs).What modern aircraft need the gear pinned at the gate to prevent retraction?
The pin DEFINITELY prevents the nose gear from retracting! Ask me how I know.
