"Odegard Aero Club"

I didn't go, threw a stage check in last night at the last minute. As always, cost will be the biggest factor and when we tried 3 years ago, insurance was a huge cost that we couldn't get down.
 
It would be a flying club for UND Aerospace associates to rent an aircraft. It's less than GFK Flight support and currently you can't rent from UND Aerospace for personal use unless you work here, and even then it's hard.
 
When they say UND associates they mean students, faculty and staff of UND. Even if this was allowed to happen creating this club, I hope there will be a rule stating US or Canadian citizens only. Gotta keep something pure ya know where the fun will not be ruined by a group who will remain nameless.

The name is not offically set. They just picked something quick to start calling themseleves something. They want the members to help pick the name when they get to that point. First they are trying to see if it is feasable to even have a club like this with insurance, maintenance and hanger costs. The plane will be donated. There is already a donor.

If the group your hinting at is the one I am thinking of, why would they pay to join a club and pay a rental fee for the plane when they already have their training paid for. Secondly, how would this group "ruin the fun"?
 
I miss the $10/hr dry rate Cessna 172 I had with the Nodak Flying club!...and that was only 3 and a half years ago! ...so...$32/hr total with fuel! Cheap!!!
 
When I was there it was easier to have a space shuttle launch or break into GFK AFB and steal a KC-135 for a joy ride then rent a UND airplane.
