Any politically savvy people on this bored with thoughts on this nomination as far as the future of the FAA is concerned? Interesting that he went with a Republican for this position.
If you read up on him you will find he is VERY bi-partisan. I don't think that we will know for sure HOW this will affect ATC and contracts until he gets in. Being the Secretary of DOT he has a LOT of things that are pressing right now and no real budget for it all to take place. Infrastructure and budget shortfalls seemed to be the number one priority. While the ATC contract is very important, most things I have read on it say it is doubtful that it will be one of the first things he undertakes and make the situation better. I hope he proves me wrong!
